Our Leadership Team

Creating a better future for BW Integrated Systems team members is Pete Carlson’s primary goal. As President of BW Integrated Systems, Pete leads the development and implementation of the company’s Vision that balances organizational needs with team member development. “I am passionate about building and growing effective teams and providing growth for our team members.” Pete’s diverse background prepared him to effectively lead the BW Integrated Systems Global organization. With an extensive background in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Customer Service and Aftermarket, Pete has held numerous leadership roles both inside as well as outside of the Barry- Wehmiller organization. His diverse background includes stints in several industries including telecom, food service and HVAC, where he helped run his family’s business.

Pete came to Barry-Wehmiller as part of the company’s acquisition of Fleetwood Systems in 2005, where he was made Director of Supply Chain, after having led Procurement for Fleetwood from 2003-05. In 2007, Pete was named Vice President of the company and has served as a member of the BW Integrated Systems Executive Leadership team since that time. Pete has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to lead highly functioning teams and deliver business growth in strategic areas of the business. Under his leadership, Customer Service, Aftermarket, Robotics and non-beverage sales have all seen exponential growth.

Pete has a Bachelor’s of Business Degree from Western Illinois University and is based in Romeoville, IL. Pete, his wife Michelle and their four children reside in the Chicago area where he has been a life-long resident.

Leading the BW Integrated Systems Global Commercial Group, Eric Collier brings over 15 years of packaging industry experiences to our Executive Leadership Team.

As Executive Vice President of Global Commercial Operations, Eric leverages his considerable knowledge of both sales structure and strategy, as well as technical expertise in palletization, robotics and end-of-line solutions to rapidly expand our business in non-beverage markets such as dairy, home care, food, wine & spirits.

I look forward to bringing all our commercial functions together and delivering industry leading solutions and marquee products to the marketplace, while creating the finest client experience in the packaging industry. I am honored to be part of this BW Integrated Systems journey and look forward to contributing to the success of our team members and clients around the globe,” comments Eric.

Eric led both sales and project teams at Alvey/Intelligrated where he cultivated a solutions-focused approach to the market. There his teams focused on providing integrated, end-of-line solutions to the packaging industry.

Eric resides in West Virginia with his wife and 2 children.

Richard Cranston’s commitment to fostering a people-centric culture and developing client-based solutions has made him a respected leader in the Global packaging industry.   Richard is the Managing Director of BW Integrated Systems' operations in Europe, Middle East and Africa. His responsibilities across the EMEA region include sales, aftermarket, engineering, supply chain, manufacturing operations, project management and service.  Richard joined BW Integrated Systems in 2007 as Director of Operations for our UK facility in Doncaster, England.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the packaging industry, Richard truly has a Global perspective on the business.  A native of the UK, Richard began his Barry-Wehmiller career as a Project Leader for the Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in 1997.  Richard relocated to St. Louis, MO and began a distinguished career that saw him assist clients in a variety of industries, including juice, can-making, soft drink and pharmaceutical.   Cranston began his packaging career at the age of 16 when he was hired by Metal Box (now Crown) as an apprentice.  His positions at Metal Box took him around the Globe, most notably to Southeast Asia, where he was a Controls and Commissioning Engineer.   His Global perspective has proven invaluable and has led to significant growth for our UK business while his leadership has greatly expanded opportunities for the Doncaster, England-based team.

Richard is a passionate advocate of the Barry-Wehmiller culture and its focus on creating opportunities for team members. “I have spent nearly 2 decades with Barry-Wehmiller and during that time I have been given great career opportunities, and I have also seen and experienced the BW culture first-hand. In 2007, I was given a great opportunity to lead Manufacturing Operations in Doncaster. At that time, I had a number of experiences to leverage, including Project and Account Management, but I had little Operations experience. The company gave me a great prospect to return to my roots in the UK and trusted me with a lot of people’s lives. I take that very seriously. It is my responsibility to make sure that our team members in the UK get the same types of opportunities to grow that I had. We touch people’s lives. That’s the foundation of the BW culture. The way that my family and I were treated when I joined the business won me over and I’ve never had any thoughts of working anywhere else.” Richard and his wife reside near Doncaster, England.

As Vice President, Market Strategy, Daniela is responsible for ensuring the continuous
alignment of BW Integrated Systems’ solutions with the ever-changing needs of customers in various markets.

Daniela brings 15-plus years of experience in strategic marketing and product management to BW Integrated Systems. She has spent most of her career with leading manufacturing and technology companies in North America, including ITW and Dell, and has been responsible for global market strategy and sales teams to advance key products and solutions.

“I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to be a part of the BW Integrated Systems team,” said Daniela. “I look forward to supporting the BW team in reaching its full potential, understanding our markets better and positioning BW to sustainably win in the market by delivering true value to our customers.”

In her new role, Daniela will work with the BW Integrated Systems sales team to develop a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between the company’s packaging solutions and key market needs. In doing so, BW Integrated Systems will be better
positioned to introduce applicable packaging innovations in those key markets.

Daniela will be based out of the Romeoville facility and plans to spend significant time in the market, visiting facilities and clients while gaining voice-of-customer. She lives in Glenview, IL, with her three children, Julian, Dalia, and Ilana. Daniela likes to stay active in her free time - salsa dancing, and yoga are some of her favorite activities. In addition, weather permitting, she likes to be out with nature and go on runs or long walks at nearby preserves.

Michael Morton’s commitment to ensuring both the financial wellbeing of the organization, as well as to ensuring that BW Integrated Systems team members have the tools to dream and aspire to greater things make him a very unique financial leader. Michael is the Executive Vice President of Finance and Supply Chain for BW Integrated Systems. He joined the company in 2001 as a Divisional Controller, after successful stops at both USG Corporation and GE. He became Vice President of Finance in 2007 and has played an integral part in the profitable growth of the company.

Michael has been an advocate for numerous programs within the BW Integrated Systems organization that encourage continuous learning and provide coaching and mentorship opportunities for team members. He co-founded the BWIS Aspiring Leaders Conference which is designed to provide a forum for aspiring leaders to engage the company’s Senior Leadership to gain insight on the company’s vision, to solicit mentoring and present “needle-moving” ideas that could move the business forward. “I feel very fortunate to be part of an organization that places people centric ideals first and creates a safe and thriving environment where each and every team member has the opportunity to learn, develop and reach their full potential.”

Michael resides in the Chicago area with his wife Tina and 3 children. His passion for coaching and mentoring goes beyond work as Michael devotes time to coaching youth sports. He also loves to exercise and cook in his spare time. Michael received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and has the rare distinction of having both a degree in Accounting, as well as a Master’s Degree in Marketing which he received from DePaul University.

As Vice President of Operations for BW Integrated Systems, Karl will lead the engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams across the company’s U.S. locations.

Karl’s career in operations was most recently with Xylem, an American water technology company where he led a  team in bringing awareness and effective solutions to the world’s water problems via manufacturing of industrial pumps.  

Prior to that, Karl spent 20 years with Honeywell where he was instrumental in implementing the Honeywell Operating System.  During his tenure at Honeywell, Karl had multiple responsibilities including directing global continuous improvement and directing leadership for up to 14 facilities across the Americas.

“I am excited to be working on a team that prioritizes its people,” Karl says.  “My belief has always been that leaders have a duty to inspire team members to be engaged every day. I look forward to integrating operational excellence initiatives in a collaborative approach that motivates team members to challenge themselves and enables them to positively realize what they are able to achieve.”

Karl is based in the Romeoville, IL headquarters and will also lead the Integrated Packaging Systems (IPS) project management team, which supports customers through the process of designing and integrating complete packaging lines.

A native of Illinois, Karl resides in Winfield, IL with his wife, Cindy. Coming from a family of sailors, weather permitting, he will spend most weekends from May through October enjoying the tranquility of sailing on Lake Michigan.  Karl also enjoys golfing and biking as well as skiing in the winter.

Jessica Lyons is a dedicated and experienced Sr. People Director at BW Integrated Systems. In her role, she oversees all aspects of the global People strategy, ensuring that the company's workforce is supported and empowered. "I am dedicated to fostering an engaging and fulfilling environment for our team," says Jessica.

Jessica brings with her experience in production leadership within the food industry, as well as an extensive background in people leadership roles in both food packaging and capital equipment organizations. Her experiences have earned her a reputation as a respected partner and champion of People and Performance within the team. Jessica's journey with BW Integrated Systems began in 2023 when Accraply and BW Integrated Systems merged, and she has since played a pivotal role in shaping the company's people strategy.

Based in Brooklyn Park, MN, Jessica holds a degree in Management/Mass Communications/Economics from the University of Minnesota and is known for her passion around music, which she enjoys in her free time. She is also a strong advocate for work-life balance and values spending quality time with her family.
