The BW Integrated Systems’ Robotic Unwrapper removes stretch and/or shrink-wrap from pallet loads before depalletising. The Unwrapper can unwrap virtually any type of load, utilising either wrap. Loads include bulk glass or plastic bottles, aluminium or steel cans, and pallets of cases or stretch-wrapped bundles.
The Unwrapper utilises a focused hot air gun (or heat gun) to apply hot air to the wrap. The removed wrap or bag is placed into a pinch roller assembly that pulls the wrap through and into one of a variety of post-unwrapping removal options, which start as simple as a bin or an integrated vacuum pipe system to a bailer. Multiple Unwrappers can feed a common bailer for multi-line applications.
Key Advantages:
- Manual unwrapping of loads is eliminated, which removes the need for ladders, the risk of static electric shock from handling the wrap, and physical straining
- Minimal floor space required
- Reduced maintenance due to fewer moving parts versus traditional fixed automation unwrapping systemsFeeds round, square, rectangular or oval products
- Robotic solutions allow for greater flexibility with incoming pallet quality
